Park with Daddy

It was such a beautiful day today. The sun was shining and the weather was warm. The perfect day to go to the park...so we did. Elizabeth absolutely loves the park. She was so excited when we told her where we were taking her.

We started our trip to the park with a wagon ride. We got Elizabeth all set up with her snacks and her drink. She is such a little princess being pulled around!

One of Elizabeth's favorite things in the entire world are swings. I am sure that she would swing for hours, if we would let her. She loves it when her daddy pushes her "up up high"!

I cannot believe that my little baby girl can go on a normal swing. It was sad for me to see that she didn't want the little infant bucket swings. She is getting too big...too fast!

Elizabeth and I had a great time playing on the slides. After a couple of trips down the slide with me, Elizabeth was finally brave enough to try the slide all by herself!

Matt and I had a great time watching Elizabeth run...and play...and climb...and jump. She was having so much fun! We are truly blessed to have a healthy, happy little girl. We could not love her more!

Dinosaur Museum with the Freebairn's

Today was such a fun day. We met Karla, Kelly, Adam, Tifani, Kena, Kate and Jack at the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. We don't get together for activities very often...so we were really excited about today. Elizabeth loves her cousins and always has a great time with them.

This was Elizabeth's first trip to the Dinosaur Museum and she loved it. She was so interested by all of the displays. She would stand there, pointing at things, asking what each of them were.

Elizabeth had lots of fun running around the "kids section" with Kena and Kate. They loved playing with all of the dinosaur parts. Poor Elizabeth is a little short, so she could not reach most of the dinosaur...but she did a great job putting on all of the spikes.

Elizabeth saw Kena making a "rubbing" and she wanted to make one too. They both did a really good job. Fortunately, Tifani remembered to bring wet wipes cause both of their hands were dirty after holding the charcoal.

This is my favorite photo from the entire day. Here Kate, Elizabeth, and Kena were playing in the water table. Kena and Kate absolutely loved the sand and the dinosaur toys....Elizabeth not so much. She cried and whined. Seriously, it is just a little water and sand...but she totally freaked. As you can see in this photo, Kate and Kena are hard at play and Elizabeth is trying to get me to wash her hands.

I love my sweet little Elizabeth. She brings me so much joy. I am so blessed to be able to have fun making great memories with her.

Thanks everyone...for such a fun day!

My Little Sweet Pea...

There are no words to describe how much I love my little sweet pea. She is my everything. I am truly blessed to be her mommy!

***I owe a big thanks to Matt for taking these darling photographs while waiting for me to get ready so we could leave. Matt you are absolutely amazing!

In Grandma's Backyard...

Today, Elizabeth and I headed over to Karla and Kelly's house for a little backyard fun. We've barely used all of Karla and Kelly's pool stuff this year, so we wanted to take advantage of the nice weather and swim. Elizabeth was so excited when I told her what we were going to do. She quickly got on her swimsuit, cover-up and grabbed her bag so we could be on our way!

When we arrived, Karla and Kelly were setting up all of the slides and water toys. Elizabeth followed her Grandma around and tried to help with anything that she could.

Elizabeth absolutely loves the water table. She could play with it all day long. She loves to pour water from one cup to the next.

Elizabeth had so much fun playing with Kena and Kate in the swimming pool. They laughed and danced and splashed. It was so cute to see them all together. Elizabeth is one lucky little girl...she has great cousins!

Even Baby Jack got in on the action. He had his own little wading pool set up with warm bath water in it. He seemed to be having a great time, just kicking and splashing his little heart out! Elizabeth was so cute. She kept checking on Jack to make sure that he was okay. Every time he would drop a toy out of the pool, Elizabeth would run over to hand it back to him.

I was so proud of Elizabeth. She was so brave today. She decided that she no longer needed to hold my hand when she went down the slide. She would just climb up to the top of the slide, sit down, yell "watch me", and slide down.

Thanks Karla and Kelly for inviting us over for such a fun day! We are so glad that Kena, Kate, Adam, Tifani, and Jack could make it too so that we could spend time together!

Making Cookies at Gymboree

Today, at Gymboree, we got to make cookies. Elizabeth had so much fun going around the room collecting all of the ingredients. She did a great job of reaching, stretching, and climbing to get all of the items needed so we could start baking.

Once we had all of the ingredients, we were off to the mixer. Somehow, Elizabeth ended up in the mixer too!

Once the dough was ready, we had to roll it out.

Next, it was off to the ovens to bake!

If there is one thing that Elizabeth learned today, it's that making cookies is exhausting! She had so much fun running around and pretending with her friends.

We couldn't leave without bubbles and a hug from Gymbo!

Go Take A Hike!

Today, Elizabeth got to attend an Art Class at Gymboree. During the class, we learned about camping and went on a hike! The first things we discovered were that a hiker needs a hat and a good backpack. Elizabeth looked so  in her hat and did a great job of decorating her backpack!

Next, we learned that you cannot go camping without s'mores. Yummy! Elizabeth created some amazing s'mores using Play-doh!

We made a tent out of a parachute and told camp stories inside. During our hike, we looked for leaves and sticks and noticed all of the different textures of the landscape. Once back at our campsite, we painted the things that we saw while we were exploring!

I am so glad that Elizabeth was able to come to Art Class today and explore the great outdoors. Cannot wait until we can come again!
