It's Halloween. Hooray! Elizabeth has been looking forward to Halloween since we bought her costume. She asks me every morning if it is Halloween yet, so I was happy to finally be able to say "yes" this morning.
Our Halloween traditions were a little scrambled today with Halloween being on a Saturday. In the past, we have visited with my mom and Matt's mom, at each of their offices. We couldn't do that this year since no one was at work today. Instead, we started off our day with a visit to Karla and Kelly's house.
Elizabeth was so excited to find Kena, Kate, and Jack inside. It was good to be able to see each of their costumes and Elizabeth loved being able to show her Minnie costume to them! Kena was a darling Ariel. Kate was a beautiful Cinderella, and Jack was a not-so-scary pirate!
Here is our very sad attempt at a group shot of the grandkids. Too bad Matt had to work and couldn't be there to save the day! After many attempts, this was the best we could do! I know that Matt could have done better. Oh well!
Next, we were off to Grandma and Papa's. We were happy to find Talon inside. I have to say that he made one cute little giraffe!
Later in the evening, Grandma took Elizabeth trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. Elizabeth did a great job of walking around and knew just what to say when someone answered the door. Each time a piece of candy was placed in her bag, she would shake with excitement!
Before heading off to Karla and Kelly's house for more trick-or-treating and dinner, Elizabeth made a quick costume change. We had another warmer-weather costume ready in case the weather was bad. I am glad that she had a warm costume so she could enjoy trick-or-treating with Karla too.
Matt was able to join us for the rest of the evening. Elizabeth thought it was fun that Daddy was going around with her.
Grannie was so surprised to find Elizabeth at the door. She gave her some candy and then let her in!
Matt's mom, Karla brought Elizabeth around to a few more houses. I think Elizabeth could have trick-or-treated all night!
We ended the night with a yummy jack-o-lantern pizza from Papa Murphy's.
What a fun day! Thanks to everyone who spent time with us and helped make the day special!

Pumpkin Patch Party at Gymboree
We have been looking forward to Gymboree's Pumpkin Patch Party for quite some time now. They always do such a great job of making it fun for the kids. Elizabeth was so excited that she would get the chance to show all of her friends her cute Minnie Mouse costume!
When we arrived, we saw Elizabeth's friend Hailee. They were both dresses as Minnie Mouse...and it was the cutest thing ever! They hugged and walked around holding hands. Elizabeth thought it was so fun that they matched!
The staff at Gymboree had fun activities planned and walked the kids through the obstacle course. Elizabeth took a little convincing but decided to try jumping off the edge. Once she did it, there was no stopping her. She kept doing it over...and over...and over!
Elizabeth got to roll, and bounce, and jump, and throw, and slide, and climb. She had such a great time playing with all of the kids.
Elizabeth favorite part was the bubbles. She loves to sit on the parachute and see the room fill with bubbles. She ran around trying to catch them and pop them!
Before we could leave, Elizabeth had to get a hug from Gymbo and say goodbye!
We ended the party with a yummy cookie, some juice, a fun party favor and a balloon.
Thanks Gymboree! We had a great time at the Pumpkin Patch Party and cannot wait until next year!

"Oh Toodles!"

I was looking forward to Halloween this year because Elizabeth is finally old enough to get excited about picking out her costume. A couple of months ago, I asked Elizabeth what she wanted to be for Halloween and she told me that she wanted to be a witch. I searched high and low and could not find a witch costume that I liked. I was so sad!
Well one day we are at Karla and Kelly's house, Elizabeth watches an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and immediately starts saying "Oh Toodles!" Karla mentioned that there was the cutest Minnie Mouse costume at the Disney Store. After looking at it online, Elizabeth said that she wanted to be Minnie Mouse for "Palloween". (Elizabeth calls Halloween...Palloween)
I almost died the first time that I saw Elizabeth in her costume. I absolutely love it and cannot believe how adorable she is in it.

Here is my absolute favorite of all the photographs that Matt took. I think it is the sweetest thing that I have ever seen!

See what I mean...is she not the stinkin' cutest ever?

Making Cookies with Daddy
Tonight was a special treat...Elizabeth and Matt made cookies! Elizabeth loves to bake and is always such a big helper. She laid all of the cookie dough out on the cookie sheet and then patiently waited while Matt put them in the oven to bake.
In the end, we had a fun time and some very yummy cookies!

Thanksgiving Point with Elizabeth
Today, Elizabeth and I went to Thanksgiving Point to buy Tickets for Breakfast with Santa. Since we drove all the way down, and it was such a beautiful day, we decided to stay a while and walk through the gardens.
I had so much fun chasing Elizabeth from one end of Thanksgiving Point, to the other. We looked at all of the trees and stopped to smell some flowers.
We even stopped at the candy store for a yummy treat. Elizabeth picked a lollipop!

I had such a great time with my little girl. It was good to get out of the house and to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.
