Talon's Birthday Party

Tonight we were able to celebrate, my nephew, Talon's fourth birthday. He has been through quite the battle in his short, little life. When he was 18 months old, he was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor and had to endure brain surgery, and months of Chemotherapy and Radiation. We are so grateful that he is doing so well and that we were able to join him in celebrating his big day!

Happy Birthday Talon!

Disney On Ice with Grandma

Elizabeth was able to get some one-on-one time with Grandma at the Disney On Ice show this weekend. Grandma surprised Elizabeth with the tickets a couple of weeks ago, and Elizabeth has been counting down ever since.

Elizabeth informed me that she wanted to wear her red princess dress that Grandma and Papa had given her for Christmas. An impromptu up-do and a tiara....and she was ready to go. She looked beautiful!

Before she left, Matt and I surprised her with a new Lalaloopsy set. We knew that the Cinder Slippers and Prince Handsome dolls would be the perfect momento for today. Elizabeth was so happy and immediately placed them in her purse before heading out the door.

I am so grateful for my mom. She is a wonderful mom...and an even better grandma. Elizabeth and Zachary are so blessed to have her in their lives. I am so happy that Elizabeth was able to get some one-on-one time with my mom. Aren't grandmas the best!

Dual Immersion Program

We found out today that Elizabeth was accepted into the Dual Immersion Program at Valley Crest Elementary. We are excited for this opportunity and over the next few weeks, we'll decide if we feel this program is a good fit for our sweet little girl. It is good to know that the decision is in our hands now. She's in the program if we want her to be!

I am so grateful for the many choices and opportunities that surround us! It will be interesting to see how this all works out and where my sweet Elizabeth will be attending school in the Fall.
