David Cook Concert

I have to start out by saying that I love date nights with my sweetheart. We really are lucky to be able to get away as much as we do. Tonight, Matt and I were able to attend the David Cook concert at the Sandy Amphitheater. We love this venue and love David Cook. We were so glad when he won American Idol in season 7.

David Cook had a really dry sense of humor and was really different than I remember him from American Idol....that wasn't a bad thing though. I thought he was hilarious, down-to-earth, and crazy-talented.

Of course, David Archuleta was in the house. He was the runner-up on season 7 and the hometown favorite since he is from Utah. David Cook forced him to come out and say "hi".

Once he was out, everyone started chanting for him to sing so he jumped on the keyboard and sang his hit song Crush.

It was kinda fun for a moment to see them back together performing again. I am not gonna lie though...I was really glad that it was only for one song!

I am always grateful to get a date night with Matt. We always have so much fun and it is nice to be able to talk without being interrupted a thousand times. Don't get me wrong, we love the kiddos but it is always nice to be able to spend the some time with just the two of us every once in a while!

Family Fun at the Real Salt Lake Game

We were able to spend a family night at the Real Salt Lake game. We aren't huge sports fans but we love to experience new things and spend time together. The game was fun to watch...even if Real lost.

We were able to see the players up-close and saw some great plays...even though most of the time we had no idea what was going on!

The Rio Tinto Stadium is beautiful and we had some really great seats. Matt and I both tried taking panoramic photographs from our seats...but nothing beats being there!

I am so grateful for a fun evening of making memories with my little family!
