A Sweet Little Story...

Today, when I picked up Elizabeth from Nursery, her teachers told me the sweetest story. In our Ward, the parents have to provide their children with a snack for snack time in Nursery. Well today, there was a family that was visiting so they were not aware of the fact that they needed to bring their little girl a snack.

As all the little kids sat down to eat, Elizabeth asked the little girl, "Where is your snack?" The teacher explained that the little girl did not have one. Elizabeth looked in her bag and said, "Do you want a fruit snack? I have two." She then handed the little girl a package of fruit snacks.

I am so proud of my little girl. She is such a sweetheart. I pray that she will keep her loving and caring spirit and that she will always remember to look after others. She is such a blessing in my life...and it makes my heart swell to think that she may be a blessing to others too.

One Step Closer...

Each day we are getting closer and closer to being ready for our little man's arrival. We have been working hard to get Elizabeth's big girl room done, so that we can have the nursery available for our little guy. Today, I picked up Elizabeth's twin-sized mattress and box spring. In the evening, the Elders Quorum President from our Ward came over and helped Matt move some furniture around in our house. It is so great to have wonderful people around us that are willing to come and help.

I am so happy to be one step closer to being done!

Jungle Tales by Nojo

I have been looking all around, trying to find the perfect bedding for our new little man...and I have finally found it! I originally found this bedding on the Internet but tonight I was able to see it at USA Baby. When I saw it online I thought it was cute, but seeing it in person...it is adorable. I love the colors and I love all of the different materials that are used.

Now I am just pricing out the best place to buy it and deciding on all of the different pieces that I want to order. I cannot wait to have the nursery all set up. We are getting so excited for our little one to arrive!

My Search is Over!

I have had so much fun searching around, with Elizabeth, for her big girl bedding. We have been to every store in the valley, and have looked at every website that I could find. I have had such a hard time because I want her room to be perfect. I wanted something fun, colorful, and pretty. I wanted something that would match Elizabeth's fun-loving personality.

After a couple months of looking around, and after showing it to Elizabeth and seeing her eyes light up, we finally found it. I love it, Elizabeth loves it...it is the one!

I love the girly flowers. I love the bright fun colors. I love how the colors compliment each other. I love the materials. I love that it is a quilt and that we can add a fun comforter during the Winter. I love the accent pillows. I love the 3D embellishments on the appliques. I love the cute flower sheets. I love the polka dots. I love the flower accented curtains and the polka dot valance.

I could go on and on...and on...and on about all of the things that I love about this set, but I will just say...It is perfect for my sweet little girl. I cannot wait to receive all of the individual pieces so that we can get her room all set up!

Hooray...one down...baby boy bedding to go!

Snow White Dress

While out shopping today, Elizabeth fell-in-love with this darling Snow White dress-up. I knew that she would look adorable in it and just had to get it for her. I thought she would look cute...but I had no idea. I love her in this little dress.

Seriously, could she be any cuter? I am so excited that we found this dress because we are taking her to Disney On Ice next month...and this dress is going to be perfect!

A Horse for Elizabeth

During the Holiday season, Costco sold these adorable rocking horses. Elizabeth liked them but did not seem crazy about them. Since I had already purchased other things, I didn't get her one. Well, when we went to have Breakfast with Santa, Elizabeth told Santa that she wanted a rocking horse for Christmas. The next day I ran to Costco to buy one...and they were all sold out! I searched...and searched...and searched...and could not find a blasted rocking horse anywhere.

Today, I went to Kid to Kid for the very first time. I wanted to find out the process for selling some of the clothes that Elizabeth has outgrown. I walked in...and the first thing that I see is the darling rocking horse that I have been searching for.

I don't know who was more excited, me or Elizabeth. She immediately ran over to the horse, climbed on and gave him a big hug.

I am so glad that I finally found a rocking horse for my sweet girl. It makes her so happy...and I love to see her happy.

Chuck E. Cheese

Papa and Grandma surprised Elizabeth with a trip to Chuck E. Cheese because they are so proud of how well she is doing with going on the potty like a big girl. Elizabeth absolutely loves Chuck E. Cheese, so this was the perfect reward!

Elizabeth has started to really like playing all of the games. Her favorite is to try and knock over the ducks as they swim by.

She also likes to try and stomp the spider. Grandma and I always have fun watching her...and helping her stomp!

I think her most favorite thing is still the merry-go-round. She always has a huge smile on her face while riding it...and she usually rides it a dozen or more times.

Elizabeth is so lucky to have such amazing grandparents. They love her so much and love to spoil her. We had great time today rewarding Elizabeth for doing such a great job!

One Whole Week

Seriously, Elizabeth continues to amaze me. She is doing so well with the whole potty training thing. Today marks one whole week with no accidents! She always tells us when she needs to go, and has been able to hold it until we can get to a potty...even during a car ride!

I am so proud of my sweet little girl!

Aquarium

Today I took Elizabeth to the Living Planet Aquarium. I am trying to spend lots of time with her, doing fun thing, before the baby comes. I am so grateful for the opportunity to spend my days with my little girl. I am so lucky to be able to stay home with her, enjoying her, and spoiling her!

Elizabeth loves the little frogs. We have to see them multiple times each time we go to the aquarium. She gets so excited when there is one close to the glass. She giggles each time they jump. I love seeing her enjoying our time together!

Look at that face! She is so stinkin' cute...I just cannot stand it.

Her other favorite is the clown fish. She screams "Nemo" as soon as we see them. To make sure that I see him, she points at "Nemo" every time he swims by.

We ended our trip to the aquarium with a snack from the Oasis Cafe. Elizabeth loves the pretzels and apple slices. Somehow she always ends up with my Diet Coke too!

I am so grateful for this fun day with my little Elizabeth. I love spending time with her and creating fun memories. I hope that we will be able to continue with our fun adventures together even after the new baby is here!

By golly...I think she's got it!

I am so proud of my sweet little Elizabeth. For the past three days, Elizabeth has told me when she needs to go to the bathroom and has had no accidents! The whole potty training thing started out a little rough...but now she is doing so good!

Only Elizabeth...

Today as we arrived at our Stake Conference, we go to sit down and a man that was in the row we selected looked up at Elizabeth and me as we entered the pew. Elizabeth sees that the man is looking at her and says "Are you looking at me because you think that I am so cute?".

Seriously, where does she come up with this stuff!

Finally Showing!

I finally feel pregnant...and I am so excited!

For both of my pregnancies, I have not had any of the usual pregnancy symptoms. I don't get morning sickness, I am not extra tired, I don't have heartburn or weird cravings. I just feel like the same 'old me. So until I start showing...I don't feel pregnant. I am probably the only woman on the face of the earth who looks forward to getting a huge belly while pregnant...but I do! I love it! I wish that I could have a "9-month-sized" belly the month that I conceive.

A couple of days ago, I looked down and saw my bulging belly...and got so excited. Up until now, everyone would tell me that I don't look pregnant...that I only look like I had a big lunch. Well, I don't think they can say that anymore...at 28 weeks, I am finally showing!

Seriously So Blessed...but Feeling a Little Stressed!

There are exactly three months until my due date...and I am feeling a little unprepared. I am still sorting through my craft room, which is becoming Elizabeth's big girl room. Since her room is not ready, she is still in the nursery. So it's crunch time! I really want to get Elizabeth's room ready so that I can get the nursery ready for our new little man. I still need to pick out the bedding, sort through Elizabeth's old items to see what we can re-use, and then buy what we do not have.

To add to the stress, when I was pregnant with Elizabeth I was put on bed rest at 31 weeks. If this should happen again...I only have 4 weeks to prepare. AAAAHHHHH! I will definitely be making preparations a priority.

Wish me luck!

Sweet Potatoes

One of Elizabeth's favorite foods is sweet potatoes. She loves them. It is one of the only vegetables that I am able to get her to eat on a consistent basis. Well tonight, while we were visiting my parents, my mom asked Elizabeth if she would like to eat. Elizabeth said, "yes, my belly is hungry". My mom then asked, "well, do you want some sweet potatoes?" To which Elizabeth exclaimed, "Yeah, sip pa-too-ees!"
