Water Table Fun

Elizabeth was so excited when she learned that we were going to visit Grandma and Grandpa. She always has such a great time at their house because Grandma spoils her like crazy. One of Elizabeth's favorite things to do at Karla and Kelly's house is to play with the water table. She loves to splash Grandma and thinks that it is so funny to get Grandma wet.

Elizabeth could play with the water table for hours...and hours...and hours...if we would let her. She has such a great time just pouring water from one bucket to another. What a little cutie!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa...for always making our visits so much fun!

Our Little Vegitarian

For the past couple of weeks, Elizabeth has been on a kick where she will not eat meat. As soon as I start cooking, she runs over and starts yelling "no meap". Most of the time, I am able to get her to try just a little bite...then she wants more.

Well tonight, Matt and I were having Hamburger Helper (I know, I am a great chef!). As we are sitting down to eat, Elizabeth starts in with "no meap"! We ask Elizabeth to try a bite...and she continues to freak out. This goes on for the entire meal. She studies each and every bite before it goes in her mouth to make sure that she is not eating any meat.

By the end of the meal, Matt and I had offered Elizabeth some Diet Coke, a flexi-straw to drink out of, being able to hold the can while she drinks, and a limited-edition Godiva truffle. It is a no go...she will still not eat the teeniest, tiniest piece of meat.

Look at this face. Seriously...can you say ridiculous!

Video Games with Daddy

Elizabeth loves to watch her daddy play video games; so today she was super excited when Matt handed her a controller and asked her if she wanted to play. It wasn't paired with the system, so she wasn't really playing, but Elizabeth didn't care. She had so much fun hitting all the buttons and moving the joysticks. It was so cute to see her having so much fun! She was so into it...I loved watching all of her facial expressions.

Elizabeth makes everything so much more fun. I love experiencing everyday things through her eyes.

Papa Has An Owie!

My poor has been enduring chronic foot pain for the past couple of years, so today he finally had foot surgery. He is hoping that this surgery will heal him and help him not be in so much pain. I am happy to report that the surgery went well and that my dad is resting at home.

My dad will be at home recovering for the next couple of months. The doctor mentioned that he could be out of work for 3-4 months. He will have to wear a walking boot and stay off of his feet for at least 6 weeks. Poor Guy! If I know my dad...we are going to have to strap him to the couch to keep him down.

Elizabeth has been very concerned about her Papa. She walks around saying "Papa has an owie" and "Don't touch the owie". She won't even let my dad touch it! She is doing a great job of taking care of him. She makes sure that he has his ice pack at all times. She even hands Papa his crutches when he tries to stand up.

As you can see, Elizabeth has found a way to still snuggle with her Papa.

A Little Pampering

Tonight, my mom and I decided that we needed a little pampering. After my mom got off work, we met up at The Cottage Retreat Day Spa in Gardner Village. We enjoyed a wonderful one hour European Pedicure before heading over to Archibald's for some yummy dessert.

Thanks Mom for sneaking away with me for a some much needed Rest & Relaxation!
