Build-a-Bear with Grandma and Grandpa

This afternoon, Matt's parents, Karla and Kelly surprised Elizabeth and Zachary with a trip to Build-a-Bear. We were so excited to be able to go and pick out something fun!

Elizabeth decided on the girl reindeer from the moment she walked it.

Zachary took a little longer to decide and eventually picked the Grinch.

Elizabeth has been to Build-a Bear before so she knew exactly what to do and where to go next; however, this was Zachary's first time at Build-a-Bear so we had to help him along the way. Elizabeth was a wonderful big sister and helped Zachary whenever she could. Zachary was great at following her lead and watched carefully when it was time to fill their stuffed animals with stuffing.

Elizabeth had to hug her to make sure it was just right!

Zachary could not quite figure out how to control the stuffing machine, but luckily Daddy was there to help!

Zachary and Elizabeth picked out a heart, gave it a kiss, made a wish and then tucked it inside their animals before they were stitched up!

Next, it was bath time!

Then time to shop for the perfect outfit and accessories! Elizabeth picked out a darling dress for her reindeer.

Zachary decided on a monster hat and some sketcher sneakers.

The only thing left to do was to name them and fill out their birth certificate. Elizabeth named her reindeer Glitter. Zachary named his Grinch Green.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa. Elizabeth and Zachary absolutely love their new friends!

Easter Celebration

My parents hosted an Easter Dinner at their home. It was nice to get together with my parents, Uncle Bill, MeMe, Michael, Kris, and Talon. My mom put a lot of effort into the get-together...and it sure showed.

Elizabeth is one spoiled little girl. Not only did she receive an Easter Basket at home, but the Easter Bunny left a basket at Grandma and Papa's house too!

Elizabeth was so excited when my mom came around the corner holding it.

Elizabeth knew exactly what to do. Grandma helped with the Cellophane, but after that...Elizabeth did not need any help. She started taking everything out. She was concentrating so hard, she even stuck her little tongue out. (It is so cute...Matt does the very same thing!)

Elizabeth loves ducks, so her Easter Basket from Grandma and Papa was a huge hit. MeMe and Uncle Bill sure had a good time watching Elizabeth go through her Easter Basket.

As if two Easter Baskets were not enough, MeMe spoiled Elizabeth as well. MeMe gave Elizabeth a darling little gift bag with some of Elizabeth favorite snacks.

At the end of the evening, we headed over to Kelly and Karla's house so we could wish them a Happy Easter. It was so good to be able to spend some time with them. They were so sweet and gave Elizabeth an adorable stuffed animal and some M&Ms. Grandpa ended the night by reading Elizabeth some books.

Thanks to everyone who made our Easter Day so special!
