A couple of years ago, Elizabeth and I met a darling family through a Gymboree class. Hailee and her mom, Melissa are the sweetest girls you will ever meet. We have become good friends throughout the years, and even though we don't see each other as often any more, we were so excited to be able to attend Hailee's Birthday Party!
Hailee had her party at the Living Planet Aquarium, in the Sunken Ship room. Of course, Hailee and her mom planned the cutest pirate-themed party with a treasure hunt around the aquarium. The kids received pink bandannas, pink eye patches, spyglasses, maps and a sword when they arrived. They were so stinkin' cute walking around the aquarium in their pirate gear!
Once the treasure hunt was over, we headed back to the Sunken Ship for the entertainment. The aquarium brought in a African Grey Parrot and taught us about where parrots live, and what they like to eat. The parrot, named Dusty, performed a few tricks for us. It was awesome! It was cute to hear the questions that the kids asked to Dusty's handler...but it was even more fun to hear the things that the kids asked Dusty to say!
Next, we were off to create our own little pirate. Elizabeth loved gluing together and decorating her own little paper doll. Too Cute!
If all that wasn't enough, we got to eat some yummy cupcakes and watch Hailee open all of her gifts. Just as we were about to leave, Hailee and her parents opened a huge treasure box and surprised each of the kids with their own bag of treasure! Inside was filled with gold coins, rings, necklaces, Jake and the Pirate fruit snacks, a ring pop, a stuffed animal Skully the parrot, and a cute Disney activity pack called "The Never Land Guide to Being a Pirate". So cute!
Hailee and her parents, Melissa and Jason, are the sweetest people I have ever met. We are so grateful to be able to call them friends. Happy Birthday Hailee!

Hailee's Birthday Party!
Elizabeth has been counting down, and was so excited that it was finally time for Hailee's Birthday Party! A couple of weeks ago, when we received the invitation and discovered that Hailee's party was at Build-A-Bear, Elizabeth almost died from excitement!
When we arrived, the cute Build-A-Bear party host escorted the children to gather in a corner of the store. She made a big fuss over the birthday girl and explained how things were going to go while we were there. She then escorted the children to the front of the store, where each child was able to pick out their own stuffed animal.
Elizabeth immediately picked this darling confetti teddy bear. She said she loved him because he was so colorful!
Elizabeth and Hailee waiting patiently for each child to pick their stuffed animal before we all headed to the stuffing station.
The party host had each of the children pick two hearts from a jar. The children then proceeded to do the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life! They all took the hearts and rubbed them on their foreheads so that their animals would be smart. They rubbed the hearts on their feet so their animals would be able to run fast. They rubbed them on their eyes so they would be able to see well, and on their hearts so that they would be able to love. Lastly each child gave their hearts a kiss and made a wish! Then they each placed one heart in their own animal and one heart in Hailee's animal. I love that Hailee's little bear had a heart from each of her friends that attended the party! Seriously, the cutest thing ever!
Once Elizabeth's little bear was sewn up, she was able to head off to the washing station. Elizabeth did a great job of cleaning her and fluffing all of her fur.
Next, it was off to decide on an outfit. After looking at everything in the store multiple times, she picked a Princess tank top, a denim skirt and two beautiful bows!
As the kids waiting for everyone to be done, the party host had each of them sign their name on a darling little birthday bear. It was so cute too see the way each of them signed their names. What an amazing keepsake for her fourth birthday!
After posing for a group shot, we headed to a lounge area for cake and presents.
I loved watching Hailee open all of her gifts. She got some really nice things. Elizabeth gave Hailee a Journey Girls Doll, just like her own Lily. As we went shopping, Elizabeth said that she loved her doll so much and knew that Hailee would love one too!
Judging from her reaction, I think Elizabeth was right! Hailee seemed really excited about her new doll!
Look at these darling cupcakes! Melissa, Hailee's mom, is the most incredible person. She is so creative and talented.
As if a trip to Build-A-Bear, a new stuffed animal and accessories was not enough, Elizabeth also received a fun Build-A-Bear backpack filled with more treasures. There was even a matching backpack for her bear! The backpack was filled with a Care Bears coloring book, crayons, a Build-A-Bear paw brush and tutu socks, a homemade teddy-bear shaped Rice Krispie treat, Build-A-Bear fruit snacks and Teddy Grahams!
Elizabeth had so much fun today. We are so glad that we were able to help Hailee celebrate her special day. Elizabeth is so lucky to call Hailee a friend. Happy Birthday Hailee!

"It's Not My Birthday!"
Yesterday, as we left Hailee's Birthday Party, Elizabeth was given a gift bag by Hailee and her mom and dad. As we walked to the car, Elizabeth asked me, "Mommy, what is this bag?" I told her that it was a gift from Hailee and her parents. She turned to me and said, "But it's not my birthday!"

When we got home, Elizabeth immediately sat down and opened her present. Needless to say, Hailee and her mom and dad totally spoiled Elizabeth. The gift bag was filled with an array of princess-themed items. Elizabeth received a little Cinderella doll, a tea set, a comb and mirror set, a ring pop, a candy bracelet, fingernail polish, lip gloss, a mirror in the shape of a wand, and a necklace with interchangeable princess jewels.
Thanks Hailee, Melissa, and Jason. The party was magical and the gift bag was amazing. You truly spoiled my sweet little princess!

Hailee's Princess Party
Elizabeth and I were privileged to attend a Birthday Ball at the Forsgren Castle today. It was a lovely event. Elizabeth was so excited to get all dolled-up in her princess regalia for the celebration.

When we arrived at the Ball, Princess Hailee had an array of beauty supplies, feather boas, hair products, and wands available for all of the little princesses to use to freshen up.

Elizabeth was so excited when Cinderella came knocking at the front door. It was so cute to see all of the little princesses run to greet her. Princess Hailee grabbed Cinderella's hand and welcomed her to the party.

Cinderella entertained the little princesses with a story about her life. She sang songs and had the girls try to guess which Disney princess originally sang the song.

Cinderella taught all of the little princesses how to hold their dress when they walk.

And how to curtsy.

She even showed them how to twirl their dresses.

Elizabeth was so excited when Cinderella presented Hailee with a Happy Birthday Tiara. She just had to help Cinderella place it on Hailee's head.

The little princesses sat very patiently as Cinderella made each of them a balloon flower. They each got to choose what color flower and what color stem they would like to have.

After the balloon flowers were made, each little princess got to design their very own tiara. Elizabeth selected a purple tiara with light blue jewels. She worked really hard on it and was so proud to be able to show it to Cinderella.

Cinderella had to get back to her castle. Before she left, though, she posed for some photographs with each of the little princesses in attendance.

Hailee's Mom, Melissa, did an amazing job planning and decorating for the Princess Party. The place settings for the Tea Party, were absolutely adorable. The cupcakes were divine and Elizabeth loved the Cinderella goblet that she got to take home.

Happy Birthday Princess Hailee! We had so much fun at your Birthday Ball. We are so grateful for the invitation and appreciate your friendship!
