Shhh...It's a Surprise!

Last week, while at Kamille's in Gardner Village, Elizabeth fell-in-love with a handmade baby cradle. Debbie, one of my talented co-workers, wrote the darling pattern. It is crocheted and includes a cradle, mattress, pillow, blanket, and baby.

Elizabeth would not put it down and insisted on carry it around the whole time we were there. Once we had to leave, she was almost in tears about leaving the little set behind. She would only leave after rocking the baby, giving her a kiss, and tucking her into bed.

When I saw how much she loved the little cradle set...I just had to make her one for her birthday. I worked on it at night after Elizabeth had gone to bed. I am so happy with how it turned out. I love the little baby, even though Matt thinks it looks like an alien. It is darling that the whole thing folds into a little purse.

I hope that Elizabeth loves it!

A Fun Little Project

I found the pattern for this great Newsboy Cap on Etsy. I have wanted to make a Newsboy style hat for Elizabeth for a while now. I was so excited to see how it was going to turn out. I think that this cap is so darling...and that Elizabeth looks adorable in it! Now the challenge is to convince Elizabeth to leave it on.

I am hoping to add a fun flower and a funky button!
