Jayden's Blessing Day

Today we celebrated Jayden's Blessing. It was so great to get together with everyone and visit. Sacrament Meeting at Melanie's Ward was so beautiful and grandpa great did a wonderful job of blessing Jayden.

Jayden was wearing the cutest little vest and bow tie for the Sacrament Meeting. It was adorable. He is getting so big! Samantha mentioned that he was just under 15 pounds at his 2 month appointment. Soon he will be as big as Elizabeth.

Here is a photo of Elizabeth with Jayden. You'll have to excuse the quality of the picture...It was the best we could get since we were asking a 20 pound baby to hold a 15 pound baby.

Poor Jayden is bawling his head off, while Elizabeth just looks at him like "what is your deal?"

After the Blessing, we headed to grandma and grandpa great's house. Elizabeth loves this little bench that they have at their house. Every time we visit, she loves to sit on the bench. It is suppose to be for decoration...but Elizabeth doesn't care. She just makes herself at home and takes a seat. You'll also notice that Elizabeth has her baby. She loves her baby and has to take it everywhere with her!

Grandpa and Grandma Great have a big yard; which makes their house an ideal location for our family get-togethers. It is so nice to sit on their patio in the shade. The kids always have so much fun running around and playing on the rope swing.

Noah loves playing on the swing. He is such a ham...and so full of energy!

Here is our cousin Jordan (Jayden's Uncle). He is such a great guy. He is great at sports and loves his family.

Elizabeth wanted to ride on the rope swing too. Matt went with her and tried but Elizabeth didn't comprehend that she had to hold on to the swing. So we just watched all the other cousins take turns. Oh well, maybe next year!

Here is Elizabeth with her Grandma. She loves spending time with Grandma. They always have so much fun together. Elizabeth especially loves it when Grandma gives her horsey rides.

Jayden, Me, and Elizabeth.

Elizabeth loves baby Jayden. She always wanted to be near him and would get so concerned when he cried. One thing that we learned though is that Elizabeth does not like me holding another baby.

If someone else was holding Jayden, she would smile at him and rub his head really softly.

BUT if I held him, she would turn into a monster. She would hit him, scratch him, and pinch him. At one point she even grabbed his ear and tried to rip it off!

Who knew that my calm, laid back baby girl would go crazy when I held another baby.

As you can see, we had a pretty eventful day. As we were about to leave, Matt snapped this shot of Elizabeth snuggling with her baby. She was so tired from playing with all of her cousins. I love this photo because it captures the sweet side of my darling little girl!

We had a wonderful time today. It is always so good to get together with family. I am grateful that I was able to celebrate the birth of Jayden with everyone. Jayden is such a blessing and I hope he knows that he has many people who love him.

We finally meet Jayden...

I was so excited to find out that Samantha was going to bring Jayden to the Freebairn Family Fourth of July BBQ. I have wanted to hold him since he was born. I love new little babies. They are so sweet and snuggly.

I cannot believe that Jayden is already one week old.

I love this photograph of Jayden and Me. It felt so good to hold him. I cannot believe that Elizabeth was ever this small. You don't realize how big your little one has gotten until you hold a brand new baby.

This is one of the sweetest pictures I have ever seen. I love how Samantha and Jayden are snuggling. You can tell that Samantha really loves Jayden, and that Jayden feels totally at ease in his mommy's arms.

Here is Jayden with his daddy. I love seeing fathers and sons together. In this photograph, Jayden looks so small up next to his daddy's arm.

This photograph of Aunt Melanie, Samantha, and Jayden makes my heart so happy. I love the look in Aunt Melanie's eye. You can tell that she is going to be a wonderful grandma. Jayden is one lucky little guy.

Last but not least, here is a photograph of Samantha's new little family. I wish them the best. Guys, if you ever need anything...we are always here for you!

Jayden Mark Stockebrand

I am so excited to announce that Samantha's baby has arrived. Jayden was born today. He weighed in at 7 pounds 14 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long.

We went to the hospital tonight but we were not able to hold Jayden because he needed to get some tests done in the Nursery. Oh Well. We got to watch him through the Nursery Window but it is not the same as holding him in our arms. He is absolutely adorable and I cannot wait to hold him. Once he gets the o.k. and we are able to see him up close I will post some photos.
