Kids Day at Wheeler Farm

Today, Elizabeth and I were able to join Uncle Bill and MeMe at Wheeler Farm for KidsFest 2009. The Salt Lake Realtors were sponsoring this event as a fundraiser for Primary Children's Hospital. We were so excited when my uncle (who is a realtor) invited us to this event.

As we walked around, we came across many of the characters from Star Wars. I wanted to get a photo for Matt, since it is his favorite movie, but Elizabeth did not want to go near the characters. This is as close as we could get without her freaking out.

Elizabeth was so excited that MeMe was there with us. She loves her MeMe so much. Elizabeth would only let MeMe hold her monkey's tail. If anyone else grabbed the tail, Elizabeth would say "No, MeMe hold me."

One of Elizabeth's favorites from the whole day was riding the train. She got to ride the train three times...one with mommy...one with Uncle Bill...and one with MeMe. It was so cute, as soon as the train would pull away, Elizabeth would start yelling "I'll be right back!"

After walking around for a little while, we decided to get some lunch. They had a lot of different options but Elizabeth and I decided on Nachos, while MeMe and Uncle Bill went for a Hot Dog and chips.

Elizabeth really liked looking at all of the police cars and fire trucks. She thought all of the flashing lights were so cool. When the sirens would go off, Elizabeth would say "It no hurt me!" I would remind her that policemen and firemen are nice and are there to take care of us. After our little talk, Elizabeth would point at the police cars and fire trucks and say "They Help People". Too Cute!

By far, Elizabeth's favorite thing from the entire day was the swings. She would have stayed on them forever...if I would have let her. After each ride, she would say "Go Away! I Stay". I practically had to pry her little fingers off the chains to get her out of the swing. At the end of the day, as we were walking back to the car, Elizabeth kept saying "The Swings are fun!"

Thanks Uncle Bill and MeMe...for a really fun day!

Elizabeth's New Train

Elizabeth is one lucky little girl! Today grandma called Elizabeth and asked her if she wanted to go search for a surprise. Of course, Elizabeth said "Yes!"...so off we went. When we got to grandma's house, we learned that grandma wanted to take Elizabeth shopping for a little ride on bike.

After going to Walmart, Shopko, KMart, Target, and WalMart again...we ended up with this Leapfrog Train. It is absolutely adorable and Elizabeth loves it! It has tons of buttons and sings all sorts of songs. Elizabeth was so excited to discover that the seat lifts up and has room to store some fun things.

When we finally decided that the Leapfrog Train was the one, we told Elizabeth that we were going to take it home with us. She was so happy and started to carry it to the front of the store. After a couple of steps, she started pushing it since it is kinda heavy. As she would walk down the aisles pushing the train, she would say "I buy this!" and would tell everyone that she saw to "move". Eventually, I started carrying it to the front...but Elizabeth had to have at least one hand on the box the entire time. What a little crazy girl!
