Gardner Village with Grandma and MeMe

Today, Elizabeth and I joined my mom and my grandma at Gardner Village. We ate lunch at Archibald's, walked through the stores, and fed the ducks. Elizabeth had such a great time running around in the sunshine and climbing on everything.

Meme even treated Elizabeth to a pony ride.

Thanks, mom and grandma, for a really fun day!

Birthday Celebration

I had the best birthday. I was able to spend the day with my wonderful husband and my sweet baby girl. I thought that it would be fun to spend the day at the Barnyard in Thanksgiving Point...so off we went.

Elizabeth was so excited to ride in her wagon. It is so fun to see her having such a great time. I love pulling Elizabeth in her wagon. It is so cute to see her sitting there with her cup and her snacks.

We got to see a lot of different animals. Elizabeth really liked the alpacas and the goats.

I don't think that I have ever seen such big horses in my whole life. It made me a little nervous to go so close. Elizabeth wanted to see the horse until we got close...then she was afraid. She calmed down once I took a couple of steps back.

The ponies were definitely more Elizabeth's size. She was so excited to be able to go for a ride. She even was able to hold on all by herself. I walked along side of her and held her hand for a minute but after a while she let go. She is getting to be such an independent girl.

After riding in her wagon for a while, we let Elizabeth get out so that she could see all of the animals up close. She loves being outside in the sunshine.

I forgot how much fun the Barnyard is at Thanksgiving Point. There are lots of animals to see and it is so nice to get out into the fresh air. Elizabeth's favorite part (other than the pony ride) was feeding the chickens and the turkeys and seeing all of the baby chicks.

I had a great time looking at all of the animals. I cannot wait to go back to the Barnyard. Since we have a annual membership, I plan to go back often.

We ended our visit to Thanksgiving Point with ice cream and creamies. It was the perfect end to a great day!

Later that night, my mom volunteered to watch Elizabeth so that Matt and I could have a date night. We ended up going to Goodwood for dinner and then to watch Transformers Revenge of the Fallen.

Thanks Matt and Elizabeth...for a perfect birthday!

Barnyard Boo at Thanksgiving Point

This week we went to the Barnyard Boo at Thanksgiving Point. We have never been, so we weren't sure what to expect...it was lots of fun. I was so excited because Karla, Adam, Tifani, Kena, Kate, and Jack were all able to join us.

Here is Karla and Elizabeth looking at the goats. Elizabeth thought they were so funny!

Elizabeth has the greatest cousins. They are always so nice to her and include her in all that they are doing. I am so glad that we were all able to attend this event together!

Here is Elizabeth kissing her cousin Kena.

Kate did not want Kena to get all of the love, so she had to come and give Elizabeth a hug. Kate is such a sweet, caring girl.

Elizabeth loved seeing all of the animals. She just laughed the whole time. She would chase after Kena and Kate and would try to see whatever they were looking at. I love this photo of the three girls. They are absolutely adorable. They were so excited to be together. We will definitely have to get together to do activities more often!

Here is Elizabeth on her first pony ride. I wasn't sure if she was going to like it (and at first she didn't) but in the end she had so much fun. She was smiling and clapping. It was adorable!

They had some really fun activities available for the kids. We got to walk through and see all of the barn animals, ride on a pony, frost cookies, get tattoos and balloon swords, and go for a wagon ride. There were a whole bunch of games available too, but our girls were a little too young to play. We'll have to come back next year.

Here is Kena with her Witch Hat tattoo. Elizabeth got a Spider tattoo but did not want to pose for me.

Here is most of the group on a wagon ride (Adam and Jack waited with all of our stuff). It was a cute little ride. They shared facts about Halloween and told a scary story. We even got chased by the Headless Horseman. I thought Elizabeth would be scared...but no she just stared at him and waved.

In this photo (from left to right) is Kena, my Sister-in-Law Tifani, Kate, my Mother-in-Law Karla, Elizabeth, and Me.

Thanks guys...for a really fun day! I cannot wait to do it again next year!
