July Scrapbooking Club

Today was my monthly scrapbooking club. I am always so excited to go and get some new ideas from everyone. Since Matt had today off he was able to stay home with Elizabeth for a little daddy-daughter time. It was fun to get together with friends and to get some pages done.

This time we had eight layouts to make. We used the 2 Sweet Simply Scrappin' Kit. I love all of the flowers and girlie stuff in this kit.

Scrapbooking Again!

So it has been a while since I have taken the time to scrapbook. I have missed it!

A couple of months back, I tore apart my scrapbook room so that I could re-organize. I bought plastic totes and decided that I would sort through and finally get control of the chaos that was my scrapbook space. I got rid of a ton of stuff and took inventory of what I own.

Needless to say, while I was concentrating on cleaning my space, I was not doing much to scrapbook. My room is still not done, but I decided that I wanted to create a page or two. I got a list of events together, planned the pages, got my favorite photos printed, and during nap time...this is what I did!.....do you like?

This page features pictures of my darling little girl, with her cousins...Kena and Kate. Matt took these photographs in his parent's backyard. I wanted some photos of Elizabeth with pumpkins (since she was wearing a "Daddy's Little Pumpkin" shirt) so we went to Wal-Mart and bought 12 pumpkins. Some of my favorite photos of Elizabeth were taken on this day.

Scrapbook Expo

I went to the scrapbook expo this week, and I had so much fun. In past years, it has not been that great, but this year I was loving it! There were tons of booths and most of them had really great stuff. I was focusing on embellishments because I have a lot of paper and I usually get Stampin' Up! stamps. I found so many things. I now have enough supplies to "embellish the world" (as quoted by my mother-in-law). I am so glad I went to the expo this year because I found some really great stores that I will shop at, now that All My Memories is closing.

My mother-in-law and I took a class from A Page 4 All Seasons. If you have not seen there stuff, you should look them up because it is darling. We had so much fun at the class. Mandi, the teacher, did an excellent job. Here are photos of the two layouts that we created.

I am excited to get as many Disney Pages as possible. We were going to go to DisneyLand this Fall, but decided we may wait until the Spring so that Elizabeth is a little bit older. I think that it would be fun to take her for her 2nd birthday in April.
